I’m Heather also known as The Baking Fairy, I’m an experienced baker and cake decorator based in Batley, and I’m able to assist with all your baked goods desires.

From simple traybakes and cupcakes to multi-tiered cakes, sugar models or flowers, I will be able to make you a delicious treat or wow moment creation for those special celebrations.

Whilst we are based in Batley, West Yorkshire we deliver all over, we’ve always said “have van, will travel”, we provide free delivery within a 3 mile radius and any delivery costs will be included in your quote.

I am here to help make your special day, that little bit more magical.

I will be able to assist with all your wedding baked goods needs whether it is cupcakes or a multi-tiered cake.

Whatever designs you have in mind, or if you would like me to create one for you, all cakes are fully bespoke and handmade to your requirements.

Regardless of your cake preference – buttercream, ganache or sugarpaste – I specialise in them all! I am also able to make sugar flowers and models to create the perfect, personalised and memorable cake that represents you, for your wedding day.

On the day, after discussions with your venue, all cakes are set up for you to ensure there is one less thing for you to worry about.

First of all, 5 stars is not enough to give. I could rave about the Baking Fairy every time and give them 10 out of 10 by a mile! From the communication, the planning, the making of the products and the delivery, everything had been absolutely outstanding. We were very impressed with Heather’s efforts in everything she do, her technique and skills on the products we asked for have been spot on! Even the flavours are absolutely amazing! Heather’s attitude to this business is excellent.
I am a massive cake lover with a huge sweet tooth and I am also a perfectionist who are not afraid to criticise anything that I wouldn’t be happy about but with the Baking Fairy, it’s hard to find any faults at all!
We ordered a cake, some cupcakes and some biscuits from the Baking Fairy to celebrate the arrival of our new baby boy, Heather was happy to go along with the date we could provisionally book in but was also happy to change the date if the baby was going to be delayed. Everything went smoothly and the cakes arrived bang on time for us to use to celebrate our sons arrival and the announcement of his name. They have even gave us a congratulations card which was a very nice extra touch!

Not only was it vegan, each tier was a totally different flavour (we must have been a nightmare, sorry haha!) not to mention the chocolate cupcakes which were also TO DIE FOR and the flowers on the cake were totally made out of icing 🤯

Cake decorated to perfection.

From my initial message to Heather to picking up the finished cake was a very professional service. I sent Heather a message outlining what I would like my cake to look like with a picture. I was totally blown away with the finished result, it was so beautiful and it exceeded all my expectations. Now I have found The Baking Fairy I won’t be using anyone else. If you want a perfect cake then ask The Baking Fairy for help. Highly recommend you won’t be disappointed.

Heather and Mark are always fab

Heather and Mark are always fab. We ordered some gender reveal cupcakes in a neutral design and babies gender colour in the middle. They tasted amazing and looked just how I imagined. We have also had brownies etc from them when we have seen them at markets they also taste so good!
